Not sure what all of the fuss is about ?
-
Tried Pilates and ‘didn’t feel anything’ ?
-
Would you like a more toned, sculpted body ?
Pilates builds long lean muscles, increases joint mobility and muscle flexibility, meaning that you can help ease those niggling aches and pains, reach up and bend down more easily into those tricky cupboards and generally feel more confident in and with your body.

Have you been told to do Pilates by a medical professional ?
-
Do you need to rebuild core strength or have an injury which needs therapy ?
-
Did you try a group matwork class with 20 other people and wonder which were the exercises for your needs and whether you were doing them correctly ?
I teach a maximum of three people at any one time using specially designed Pilates equipment.
Each person is given tailor-made exercises which are geared specifically to their own needs.
I help each person move to the best of their ability while at the same time making sure that the exercises are safe and effective. Pilates is a gentle form of exercise and although it targets the areas of the body which are most in need of work, it also works the whole body. When exercising it is easy to forget that our leg is attached to our whole body via the hips, back, abdomen, shoulders, neck and head. Pain is frequently referred from a different area of the body to the one in which we feel it. This is why exercising the whole body is so important. Breathing correctly, one of Pilates' main principles, has added benefits including helping you to relax, leaving you feeling rejuvenated and less stressed at the end of your class. Switching off from our busy lives for 75 minutes and concentrating on our body is something many of us long to do but no longer have time for.
Pilates is safe and challenging for men and women of all ages and at any level of physical fitness
and don’t forget it can also be FUN. Come along to my friendly studio and find out what everyone is talking about.
